David Ewald is a Software Engineer at Microsoft, where he works on the automation of planning, execution and procurement of servers and network devices for the global data centers which power Azure. His primary focus is to develop distributed software systems and tools which can address the complex nature of Microsoft’s global supply chain, working with data scientists, researchers, engineers and business planners to support the massive scale and acceleration of Azure. David has also worked at various start-ups as a full stack developer, having a wide range of experience across the web development and software engineering space. He currently teaches at the University of Washington’s iSchool with a focus on Database Design and Development for both the Informatics and Information Management programs.
