Clark (MLIS) named Emerging Leader by LSJ

MLIS student Melody Clark has been chosen by Library Student Journal as an Emerging Leader. The list of Emerging Leaders was published in the January 2010 issue of the publication.

According to their website, "Library Student Journal (LSJ) seeks to publish the best papers from Library and Information Science (LIS) students worldwide, and to serve as a forum for discussion of LIS education, training, career paths, and future trends."

The Emerging Leaders issue of Library Student Journal was created with the goal of showcasing current (or recently graduated) LIS students. Selection as a leader was based on nomination by peers. The leaders profiled are (in alphabetical order):

  • Amber Billey, Pratt Institute
  • Melody Clark, University of Washington (read profile)
  • Kati Gordon, University of Oklahoma-Tulsa
  • Jenny Schwartzberg, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign
  • Muriel K. Wells, University of Alabama

Clark will complete her MLIS degree this spring.
