The undergraduate Informatics program grew from 184 to 216 students. The iSchool plans to continue growth in this program over the next several years, eventually expanding to more than 300 students.

The graduate programs also increased, with the master of library and information science program adding 12 students for a total of 373, and the master of science in information management (MSIM) experiencing the largest increase from 136 in 2011 to 172 students. Much of the MSIM growth came from an increase in international applications. The Ph.D. in information science added seven students for a total of 47.
