New book by Annie Searle: Reflections on Risk III

iSchool lecturer Annie Searle's "Reflections on Risk III" is a new collection of 26 research notes from 16 contributors who wrote the notes while students in the UW Information School's Master of Science in Information Management program.

The authors explore today's risk-related issues including the ethical dimensions of identity management, culture risk, privacy and security. This volume, the third in the series, is divided into six sections: cybersecurity, economics, privacy, government oversight, innovation and disasters.

Searle is the author of "Advice From A Risk Detective," now in its second edition, and writes four times a year for The Risk Universe, a London-based magazine focused on operational risk in the financial sector. Her firm, Annie Searle & Associates, LLC, is a Seattle-based operational risk research and advisory firm that publishes a monthly newsletter, ASA News & Notes, and produces the Reflections on Risk series. Searle designs and teaches courses on risk, ethics, policy and law as they relate to information management.

Research note authors include: Heather M. Brammer, Justin Brecese, Brooke Brisbois, John Cann, Matthew Christian, Katharine Gallagher, Katherine Hagen, Uma Joshi, Mike Kelly, Kenny Lee, Andrew Magnusson, Kris Tomasovic Nelson, Malavika Ravi, Casey Rogers, Carolyn Tweedy and Divya Yadav.
