LIS Graduate Scholarship and Funding Bootcamp
SoCLIS (Students of Color in LIS) and IDEAS are hosting a virtual LIS Scholarship and Funding Bootcamp on Jan. 19, from 6-9 p.m. PT. Join us to hear from GFIS and past Spectrum Scholars for tips on LIS scholarships!
With a focus on BIPOC/URM LIS funding, all iSchool graduate students, prospective students and applicants are invited to attend.
Oscar McNary, from the Graduate Funding Information Services Office AND current MLIS student, will overview how to search and maximize GFIS grant and funding resources. The second half of the program will be specifically for BIPOC MLIS students and applicants — a panel of iSchool Spectrum students and alumni will give an overview of the Spectrum Scholars program with tips for writing your applications and maximizing your Spectrum experience.
Again, all iSchool graduate students, prospective students and applicants are invited to attend, especially the first half with Oscar and GFIS!
Prospective students and applicants — register for the event using the link below. The Zoom link will be emailed to attendees prior to the event.
