iWelcome Week celebrates incoming Informatics, MLIS, MSIM and Ph.D. students and invites them to connect with all that our iSchool community has to offer. Don't forget to tag your posts and photos with #iSchoolWelcome!

Monday, Sept. 17
The iSchool International Graduate Student Orientation is from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the HUB, Room 145. The combined residential and online MLIS orientation is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the HUB Lyceum. The Full-Time MSIM orientation is from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in HUB 145.
Tuesday, Sept. 18
The All iSchool Welcome, open to iSchool students, faculty and staff only, is from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Kane Hall, Room 120. MLIS peer advisor panels and coffee hours will take place from 11 a.m. to noon — residential students in Mary Gates Hall (MGH), Room 231 and online students in MGH 241. Informatics orientation is from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Johnson Hall (JHN) 101/102. The All iSchool Fair is from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the Intellectual House. Student meetups begin with a joint SAA-UW and ArLiSNAP-UW Happy Hour from 4 to 6 p.m. at the College Inn Pub. An ALISS Speed Friending event takes place starting at 6 p.m. at Big Time Brewery & Alehouse.
Wednesday, Sept. 19
Residential MLIS students will take a field trip to the Seattle Public Library, Gay City Library and Estelita’s Library. Online MLIS workshops will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. in MGH 241 and 334. The Law Librarianship Tech Workshop is from 1:30 to 5 p.m. at Suzzallo Library's Smith Room. An SAA-UW Mix & Mingle event follows at 5 p.m. in Suzzallo's Smith Room. (No mandatory events are scheduled due to Yom Kippur.)
Thursday, Sept. 20
Online MLIS students will take a field trip to the Seattle Public Library, Gay City Library and Estelita’s Library. Residential MLIS, MSIM and Ph.D. tech workshops will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in MGH 241 and 334. MSIM Career Prep Day is 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in JHN 075. Ph.D. orientation takes place from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Bloedel Hall 070. The DSA Happy Hour for Ph.D. students is from 4-6 p.m. at the College Inn Pub.
Friday, Sept. 21
Additional tech workshops will be offered for graduate students from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 5 p.m. in MGH 334.
Monday, Sept. 24
The Research Speed Pitch is from 1:30 to 3:30 in Odegaard Library 220. Come and learn about our faculty's research and how undergraduate and master's students can participate. An MSIM tech workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon in MGH 334. Mid-career MSIM orientation is from 4 to 7:30 p.m. in MGH 258. Mid-career MSIM tech workshops follow from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The IUGA Bonfire is from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Gardens Park.

Autumn quarter begins.
