We will enhance the student educational experience, emphasizing leadership and innovation in a diverse environment. We will improve student recruitment and the ability of our faculty and staff to serve as models of leadership and innovation.

    1. Evaluate, develop, and implement student recruitment strategies
    2. Increase scholarship and grant support for students
    3. Enhance internship and student employment opportunities
    4. Develop mechanisms that facilitate student engagement and mutual support
    5. Set high standards for faculty advising
    6. Expand career development and placement services for students
  2. Prepare faculty and staff to be leaders and innovators in a diverse community
    1. Develop key indicators of leadership and innovation and implement related recruitment, hiring, and retention practices for faculty and staff
    2. Establish expectations that faculty and staff will be models of leadership and innovation
    3. Provide training, support and development activities that will increase the capacity of faculty and staff for leadership and innovation
    4. Reward both internal and external practices of faculty and staff in leadership and innovation
  3. Review and improve the existing curriculum for each academic program
  4. Implement common experiences for students across degree programs that will facilitate leadership and innovation
  5. Review our academic programs as a whole—size and shape, quality, intent, and outcomes
  6. Foster higher levels of student involvement in the administration and life of the School
