b. ICS Development—Explore developing the Information and Society Center (ICS) into a global center

Vision ICS is a leader in a global network whose research empowers people, communities, and organizations in the Information Society; the research initially focuses on the Internet and its relationship to societal institutions. ICS works in collaboration with the Provost’s Office and researchers from across the UW. The Center is financially self-supporting through major gifts and research funding and is guided by active, engaged UW and global advisory boards.
