Each fall we host an orientation session specifically for new Residential MLIS students to introduce some of the requirements, guidelines and other "nuts and bolts" of the MLIS program. The first two and a half hours will be dedicated towards orienting students towards the Residential MLIS program, and the final two hours will be a review of the MLIS Culminating Experience options, where Online MLIS students will be joining the group in MGH 389. Stick around afterwards, and join current and new MLIS students at an ALISS-sponsored social event, running from 5:00-7:00 pm.
Attendance at the Residential MLIS New Student Orientation is required for all incoming Residential and Law MLIS students.

Wednesday, September 23 thru Saturday, September 26, 2009
View the Online MLIS Orientation Week Calendar for more details, including times sessions run each day.
Each fall the newly admitted Online MLIS students gather together in Seattle for a face-to-face orientation and series of workshops to acclimatize them to life as online student learners. More information on events taking place over this four-day timeframe will be posted online and provided to all new students. After this week, Online students return home and start taking courses online. After the Orientation Week, Online MLIS students return home to begin their courses online.
Attendance is mandatory all four days for all incoming (first year) Online MLIS students.
