What's an iPrep?

iPrep is an online resource of the University of Washington Information School.  iPrep provides new and returning iSchool students with information and instruction about various online learning technologies and resources available to them through the iSchool and the University at large.  These technologies are used not only for online courses, but residential and hybrid course options as well.

This resource was originally designed as a tool for students beginning the iSchool's Online MLIS program, however in recent years it has expanded its content to address the needs of students in all iSchool programs and at various stages in degree completion.  If you are a first-time participant in an online course at the iSchool as a residential or online student; a returning student who needs a reminder on how to use certain tools; or just an iSchool student using networked resources to complete work from an off-site location, this resource is for you.

Students are not expected nor advised to try and absorb all the information on iPrep at once.  Instead we suggest that you use it as an on-demand resource, referencing its details as necessary or as they arise in the course of your degree progression.  New students should at least plan to browse the content of iPrep in order to gain a better sense of how online learning works at the iSchool and at the University of Washington.
