MLIS Travel Scholarships
Travel Scholarships for MLIS Students:
C. C. Seetoo CALA Conference Travel Scholarship[http://www.cala-web.org] Chinese American Libraries Association awards $500 to a student to attend the annual ALA conference and CALA program. Students of Chinese heritage who are currently enrolled in ALA-accredited master’s programs or in doctoral programs in Library and Information Science in degree-granting institutions in North America are encouraged to apply. This website includes an application as well as more information about the scholarship.
North American Serials Interest Group (NASIG) Student Grant
[http://www.nasig.org/public/timedated/studentgrant.html] Enables students to attend the annual NASIG conference which includes the presentation of papers, panels, workshops, tours, and social events. Students who are currently enrolled at the graduate level in any ALA-accredited library school, who do not already have an ALA accredited degree, and who have expressed an interest in some aspect of serials work are eligible to apply. Students do not have to be NASIG members to apply and they must not have earned their degrees earlier than the end of the school year prior to the NASIG conference.
