Employer Connections Fair 2011:
Employer Information

The Information Employer Connections Fair will take place on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, from 1:30-4:30 pm, in Mary Gates Hall Commons on the UW Campus in Seattle.  This event will be a good way for your organization to develop relationships with outstanding students in the information field who are potential future interns and employees in your organization. Additionally, your participation in this event will provide you with free marketing to our students.

 

Standard Package: 

Registration for the Standard Package includes a fee of $100, which provides the following:
  • One table (approximately 6' long) with 2 chairs.  Tablecloth/skirting not included.  Signage provided at the table.
  • Your company/organization's name listed on the Employer Connections Fair website.
  • Your company/organization's name listed on posters advertising the event and in the event booklet.  
  • Free wireless internet.
  • Refreshments.
  • Parking validation for on-campus parking.  One car per company may be validated; carpooling is encouraged.  Campus maps and directions may be found at Maps & Directions Page.

To participate employers must REGISTER ONLINE.  We have a limited number of tables available; advance registration does not guarantee a table.  We will contact you to confirm your registration and provide you with payment information within one week of receiving your online registration.  In September we will also update the Employer Connections Fair website with more information for participating employers.

Sponsorship Package: 

Sponsorship is also available, which allows for increased publicity on campus.  Registration for the Sponsorship Package includes a fee of $250.  The package provides the following:

  • One table (approximately 6' long) with 2 chairs.  Tablecloth/skirting not included.  Signage provided at the table with recognition of sponsorship.
  • Your company/organization's logo on the Employer Connections Fair website with recognition of sponsorship.
  • Your company/organization's logo on posters advertising the event with recognition of sponsorship.  
  • Complimentary one-page ad in the event booklet.  
  • Free wireless internet.
  • Refreshments.
  • Parking validation for on-campus parking.  One validation sticker will be provided to employers at the fair; carpooling is encouraged.  Campus maps and directions may be found at Maps & Directions Page.

To indicate your interest in becoming a sponsor, please check "Sponsorship Package" on the Employer Registration Form.  We have a limited number of sponsorships available; advance registration does not guarantee a table/sponsorship.  We will contact you to confirm your registration/sponsorship and provide you with payment information within one week of receiving your online registration.  In September we will also update the Employer Connections Fair website with more information for participating employers and sponsors.

About iSchool Students:

The fair is open to all Information School students, as well as to the rest of the UW student body and alum.  Students are looking for internships or positions in a variety of areas: project management, information organization, web development, knowledge management, systems analysis, archives, technology management, reference and information services, software development, taxonomy, cataloging, information assurance, preservation administration, information architecture, user interface design, solutions consulting, information systems, corporate records management, human-computer interaction, metadata, children and youth services, information policy, etc.
