The Information School Employer Connections Fair

Hosted by The Information School, the Employer Connections Fair is designed to provide iSchool students and alumni with the opportunity to connect with employers on career opportunities, job openings, internship and fieldwork placements, and research.  The fair is open to all Information School students, as well as to the rest of the UW student body. 

• Bachelor of Science in Informatics
• Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS)
• Master of Science in Information Management (MSIM)
• Ph.D. in Information Science

Employers:  

The fee for hosting a table is $100.  A few sponsorship opportunities are also available for $250.  For more information on what hosting a table entails please refer to the Employer Information page.  Last year we filled all our tables and space is limited again this year, so please register early!

Companies and organizations that participate in the iSchool Employer Connections Fair have the opportunity to:

• Connect with over 200 current iSchool students
• Market your organization to the University of Washington campus
• Advertise your current job openings, internships, and fieldworks
• Recruit information leaders and innovators of the future

This event will be a good way for your organization to develop relationships with outstanding students in the information field who are potential future interns and employees in your organization.  Additionally, your participation in this event will provide you with free marketing to our students.

Students are looking for internships or positions in a variety of areas: project management, information organization, web development, knowledge management, systems analysis, archives, technology management, reference and information services, software development, taxonomy, cataloging, information assurance, preservation administration, information architecture, user interface design, solutions consulting, information systems, corporate records management, human-computer interaction, metadata, children and youth services, information policy, etc.

Students:

Students are encouraged to come prepared with resumes and ready to make connections with the featured employers.  Business or business-casual attire, please.  The career fair is free to students and alumni; registration is not required for participants.  The Information School will be offering workshops to prep students for navigating through the fair.
