Job Exchanges
LIBEX
is the International Library and Information Job Exchange. "LIBEX acts as a clearinghouse for CILIP Members [in the United Kingdom (UK)] and library and information staff in other countries who are interested in arranging a job exchange between a UK-based post and a non-UK based post."
The International Library Job Exchange
has all you need to set up a successful international library job exchange, including ideas about locating an exchange partner and immigration.
ALA's
International Relations Round Table (IRRT) International Exchanges Committee
provides many useful links and resources.
The Mortenson Center for International Library Programs
works to "strengthen international ties among libraries and librarians." Since the Mortenson Center was founded in 1991 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), more than 680 participants from 86 countries have participated in Mortenson programs. The Mortenson Center has partners in Costa Rica, Haiti, South Africa, the Russian Federation, and the United States.
