Allyson Carlyle is an Associate Professor at the Information School. Her primary research areas are evaluation and use of online catalogs, conceptual foundations of descriptive cataloging, and document modeling for library catalogs.
Dr. Carlyle is currently working on several research projects, including a project investigating user perceptions of IFLA's recently promulgated document model, Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR). She is also supporting ALA ALCTS in promoting 2010 as the Year of Cataloging Research.
