Continuing Education for LIS Professional Development
The University of Washington Information School is committed to making available Library and Information Science (LIS) graduate-level electives through its Continuing Education Option (CE Option).
The CE Option is intended for library and information professionals who hold the MLS, MLIS or a similar degree in a related field. Enrollment in any of the courses listed in the next column enables qualified professionals to pursue advanced topics in library and information science. Students who successfully complete any of these courses will be awarded Continuing Education Units (CEUs) equivalent to the number of academic credits for the course.

Registration Information
Non-matriculated students—students not actively pursuing a degree program at the University of Washington—may enroll directly in any of the preceding Information School courses offered on campus during evenings or weekends, or through UW Online Learning.

Access to other Information School courses
Non-matriculated students—students not actively pursuing a degree program at the University of Washington—may also register on a space-available basis in certain other iSchool electives, subject to permission of the course instructor and the Information School.
