Applying to the MSIM Program
The Online Application Opens September 1
The MSIM online application opens annually on September 1. Admission is for Autumn Quarter only. To be considered for admission, applicants must complete and submit the UW Graduate School online application. We encourage prospective applicants from diverse backgrounds and professional experiences to apply.
Day MSIM Program Deadline
- Deadline for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents: January 15
Executive MSIM Program Deadline
- Priority Deadline for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents: May 1 Note: Applications received after May 1 will be considered on a space-available basis.
International Applicants
- Priority deadline for International Applicants for both programs: November 1. All international applicants (non US citizens and non permanent residents whether living in the US or abroad) should submit their MYGrad application by this deadline. Foreign transcripts require additional processing time by the Graduate School, so the sooner you submit your additional materials, the better your chances of full consideration by the review committee.

What requirements do I need to apply?
All applicants to the MSIM program must meet the following basic requirements:
- Bachelors degree or higher (must be equivalent to a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution)
- Grade point average of 3.0 or higher (some exceptions considered)
Applicants to the Executive MSIM Program must meet this additional requirement:
- Professional experience with information technology or management (3 years minimum)
