Beta Phi Mu Honor Society

Each year, a limited number of MLIS graduates are nominated for membership into Beta Phi Mu, the library and information science honor society. Nominations are limited to a maximum of 25% of our graduates, and nominees must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.75. The iSchool Student Services Office forwards the names of eligible nominees to Beta Phi Mu, and nominees are then contacted individually by the organization. Beta Phi Mu has more than 50 chapters at library and information science schools internationally. Visit the National Beta Phi Mu Honor Society web site.

 

Nominations are handled by the iSchool Student Services office, and are typically made around September each year.  Nationals will let you know if you have been nominated and granted membership.
