Printz Award. \n\n"Books & Boys - Making it Work!"\n\nFor nearly 30 years\, boys have been falling further behind girls in nearly every subject in school. A major cause is that boys read less than girls. Join award-winning young adult author Walter Dean Myers as he explores the relationship between boys and books\, and how we can work together to foster boys' love of reading.\n\nThe Spencer Shaw Lecture Series presents well-known authors speaking about their work and library service for children and young adults. The Series is funded by the Spencer G. Shaw Lectureship Fund in honor of Professor Emeritus Spencer G.
