Admissions Timeline for the Informatics Major
Application Deadline for 2010: April 15, 2010
Autumn Quarter
All Informatics pre-requisites offered:
- INFO 100: Fluency with IT
- INFO 200: Intellectual Foundations of Informatics
- STAT 311: Elements of Statistical Methods or QMETH 201: Introduction to Statistical Methods
- CSE 142: Computer Programming I
Other required courses are offered in English Composition, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology and Philosophy.
Winter Quarter
Application deadlines for UW undergraduate admissions (for Freshman Direct Admissions Program):
- December 1, 2010, for priority admission
- January 15, 2011, final closing date
Informatics major begins accepting applications beginning of winter quarter. Students who have completed all required prerequisite courses by winter quarter can apply for early decision on admission to the major.

Deadline for application to the Informatics major: April 15
Applicants are required to complete prerequisites by the end of spring quarter. Applicants can be taking prerequisite courses during the admissions process, but need to complete them by the end of spring quarter.

Admissions committee offers admissions to the major to the new cohort.
