Employer Connections

The iSchool hosts a variety of opportunities to meet both formally and informally with representatives from industry leaders from the Seattle area as well as other regions across the country. These events are sent to subscribers of the iSchool's various job and internship listservs and through other appropriate channels. In addition to meet the firm events and other campus visits from recruiters, each year the iSchool hosts its Employer Connections Fair.

Hosted by The Information School, the Employer Connections Fair is designed to provide iSchool students and alumni with the opportunity to connect with employers on career opportunities, job openings, internship and fieldwork placements, and research. The fair is open to all Information School students, as well as to the rest of the UW student body.

Students are encouraged to come prepared with résumés and ready to make connections with the featured employers. Business or business-casual attire, please. The career fair is free to students and alumni; registration is not required for participants. The Information School will be offering workshops to prepare students for navigating through the fair.

ECF Workshops

Workshops will take place during autumn quarter to prepare students for this January event. Topics include résumé building and how to navigate a career fair. You are encouraged to attend the workshops and/or review the below handouts and PowerPoint presentations. Students are also encouraged to contact their academic advisers of the UW Career Center for individual help with resume review.
