Informatics Staff

The administration and staff of the UW iSchool are committed to helping students in the Informatics major achieve their personal and educational goals. The Student Services staff in particular are available to respond to concerns throughout the application process and once students are accepted into the major.

Student services works to ensure the environment at the iSchool is supportive of the best possible learning outcomes for all students, helping students become well-rounded professionals with the ability to lead in their future professional roles in the information field. The Student Services team is also working to give students a voice in matters relating to the program, by encouraging student engagement with iSchool and UW administration and student government, and other organizations on campus.

He is available to answer questions about the major, including academic procedures, graduation and admission requirements and course scheduling. He can help identify information about organizations on campus that support students as they pursue their degree.

He helps students obtain add codes and assists with other registration issues. He is also responsible for scheduling appointments with the Academic Adviser and responds to inquiries about iMajors, iProjobs/iStujobs and individual cohort listservs.
	Kari Brothers Admissions Counselor Email: kari683@uw.edu Office: 470 Mary Gates Hall Phone: 206-543-3172 As admissions counselor, Kari works with prospective students to assist them with the admissions process. She is also responsible for admissions for the iSchool's other degree programs.
	Wendie Phillips Director of Student Services Email: wrp@uw.edu Office: 470 Mary Gates Hall Phone: 206-616-8553 As Director of Student Services, Wendie is responsible for overseeing the quality of student life at the iSchool. She supervises the academic advisers and program staff, and is the primary point of contact for student concerns related to iSchool administration. She also works with the academic advisers and program staff to support opportunities for professional development for students, by fostering relationships with employers.
