Welcome to the iSchool Diversity Homepage!  This is the place to find events, resources, and more information on iSchool diversity related efforts. 

The Diversity Committee
Through outreach, recruitment, and retention, the Committee works to foster an openness regarding diverse ideas and perspectives. The Committee meets regularly to review diversity needs and efforts of the iSchool and help plan programs, host events, disseminate information, and initiate discussion on diversity. The Committee is dedicated to gathering and sharing different viewpoints and perspectives on information education and information professions. Membership includes faculty, staff, and students.

Diversity Committee meetings are open to everybody, and we appreciate input from the iSchool community. Scheduled meetings for 2009-2010. 

Meeting dates/times/location: All meetings take place from 9 AM to 10:30 AM in MGH 015M (Matt Saxton's office)

Autumn:  November 2, November 30
Winter: February 8, March 1
Spring: April 12, May 10

iDiversity Student Group
iDiversity is a student-run organization that puts on various cultural and diversity events and panels throughout the year. Past events have included potlucks and panels on cross-cultural communications in libraries. For more information, please email iDiversity or visit our Facebook page.

This mailing list has announcements regarding iSchool, UW, and community events, activities, programs, scholarships, internships, jobs, and much more that relate to diversity.  It is an open list, and all are welcome to join!
